Modern warfare 3 has a game mode that has been in most call of duty called hardcore. It is a mode that is not really hardcore but more real shooter. It removes the on screen display including the radar mini map, the gun ammo, cross hairs and other features part of the HUD. In MW3 hardcore mode they also have 30% less health taking in most all cases around 1 bullet to kill. So hardcore is really not hardcore just more real.
