Spec Ops Vertigo Mission and Achievement Guide

New Vertigo Spec Ops Mission is Here for xbox 360 gamers and ps3/pc gamers soon!

Many hardcore fans of Call of Duty love the spec ops missions so it is not a huge surprise that the July update adds a new Spec Ops mission. It is called Vertigo which takes place on the Oasis hotel, which if you’ve played through the campaign, you’ll recognize it from the end of the game. It is also featured on a multiplayer map.

This mission is action packed as you shooting down helicopters, parachuting off of the tower, then running across a bridge. While the map is pretty simple and straightforward it offers a lot of action and if you are playing on veteran difficulty level it can get really complicated. This mission is really fun to play co-op with a friend on the internet or co-op side by side split screen. This spec ops mission adds some new achievements to the game. We want to help you get those achievements and have some tips tricks along with video guides on how best to complete them, so you can earn those achievements.

Vertigo Tactics

Vertigo mission is one of the more easy DLC spec ops missions. When you start the mission it takes place on top of the tower and on each side of the map there is additional weapons but the starting weapon G36 will do the job perfectly, but if you rater a different weapon there is more then enough options.

Because flash bangs make Juggernaut trip and stumble this is a effective way to disable them from shooting and damaging you. So if you are going for the Juggernaut achievement, a good tip would be for you to save your flashbangs and grenades for them, since there isn’t an ammo crate on top. Once you’ve reached the halfway point, you’ll have to grab a parachute and jump off the tower.

Once you land, there will be an ammo crate that allows you to fully restock all your ammo. Make sure and use flashbangs and grenades as much as you need them, there is a endless supply by refilling up at the ammo crate. I also recommend using the a weapon with thermal or using the PKP Pencheng LMG here. There will be a lot of guys you will have to fight so having thermal or a weapon with a large magazine will help a lot. Also make sure you use your flash bangs and try to kill as many of them when they are stunned as you can. I suggest that one of you two shoots down the helicopters even if you aren’t going for the helicopter achievement, because they drop a lot of guys and can make the mission a lot harder. Once you both make it to the green smoke you are done and you have completed the Vertigo mission good job solider!

Vertigo Achievements

Apex
This is the easiest achievement for this spec ops map you get it by simply beating the mission on any skill level. Play it on Regular, and you should have no problem. If you do beat it on veteran you will automatically get apex and Pinnacle achievements.

Flyswatter
To complete this you must Destroy all helicopters in the mission. This is pretty easy to do and not too difficult, to complete this easier do it on Regular or if you think you are a boss try it on Veteran difficulty.

Pinnacle
This is the hardest achievement to earn for most gamers you must Beat Vertigo on Veteran. The best way to beat spec ops or campaign missions on veteran we suggest you play it smart by Sticking to cover, use flashbangs on all the enemies, and play it really safe. For the starting part of the map on the tower some gamers have found it easier to have a guy on the left and one on the right around the extra weapons. This will make it harder to recover each other but it will make it much easier for many to kill them while getting cover.

To Jugger or to Jugger-Naut
Kill all the juggernauts after they land on Veteran difficulty. To do this, you need to not shoot down a few of the helicopters so they can drop off their juggernauts. Juggernauts are tough enemies regardless of difficulty, so take some extra caution. There are plenty of different weapons on top of the tower for you to choose from; so use everything they give you. Try to clump them together, use a flashbang, and let loose with an old-fashioned RPG.
