Modern Warfare 3: NAT type guide How to change your NAT type

We keep getting gamers feedback about having a hard time finding games which many times can be caused by you or someone in your party. Opening it can remove restrictions and find matches faster. We hope you like this and hope this helps solve your open NAT problem.

PS3 / XBOX / PC:

1. Assign your PC a static IP

2.Log into your router and forward port 3074 and 27000-27050 to the static IP you established in step 1
3. DONE!

Option 2: DMZ (would not recommend)
1. Dmz your PS3/XBOX/PC if the port forwarding doesn’t work.
2. Step 1-3 in option 1 to be repeated on a different router. You must port forward as well as dmz on this router otherwise you will get a moderate nat type.
Option 3:

Log into your router and turn on UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), most routers have this option in the Administration tab.

Also ensure that under your security options that Anonymous NAT Redirection is allowed and is not filtered. This may also be referred to as ‘Filter InternetNAT Redirection’ – in which case you want this disabled.

There is a alternative PS3 method
Most people that have Mw3 also have Black Ops,Mw2,a fever we all get,me included.
So if your luck enough to own Mw2 and Mw3 this all work, it did for me!

Load MW3, goto multiplayer,when you see Playstation network (find game),eject MW3 with out closing game. it will automatically go back to ps3 load screen.

Insert MW2 and load, do the same as MW3,till you see playstation network(find game).
You will notice NAT open in MW2.

Same as before, eject Mw2 without closing game and insert Mw3 load game and when you get to playstation network (find game) you should now see NAT open.
