“This is not that kind of experience. It’s an opportunity to introduce an element of non-linearity; action that takes place away from the main storyline. So it breaks up the gameplay but still helps shape that ultimate end.”

So there is two types of campaign missions and the Strike Force missions themselves will be non-linear but will not be a part the normal campaign mode storyline. The Black Ops 2 story line will have two main story lines like many movies featuring a parallel sub story that enhances the main storyline. In other words, the game’s main campaign storyline will be linear and play out exactly the same for everyone and the non-linear story line will not be the same for everyone. This type of branching storylines is one of many innovation in Black Ops II.

Well there you have it COD fans! Black Ops 2 will have some non-linear elements intertwined throughout the gameplay but none of those things “directly” affect the ending of the game it seems.

Very hot topic for fans of Call of Duty games. Make sure and post your feedback in the comments box below let us know how you feel about this braking news. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is out November 13 on PC, Xbox 360 Wii and PS3.
