There is a bug attached to the newest Microsoft xbox 360 updates. If the bug effects you it will wipe out your achievement earned for all games. If this support thread is any indication, the issue hasn’t been resolved for everyone, and some gamerscores remain broken and missing. The problem is effecting a large amount of the gamers that have updated there software on games like Mass Effect 3 and Modern Warfare 3.

What went wrong?
This was a mistake in the software coding that Microsoft made. a very careless mistake that effects most all gamers and resets all there achievements. This is by far one of the biggest software mistakes Microsoft has ever made with xbox 360. They made a bug where when you add a new patch for any game it will try to bring your old game data from any other xbox to your new xbox. The problem is if you did not have old data it will bring in blank data for many things including achievements.

How to Fix it
If you’re missing achievements, please try signing out of Xbox LIVE, then sign back in. If this doesn’t resolve your issue, then you will need to re-download your profile. Please note that this will remove any achievements you might have earned since the issue began, however, they can be re-earned.

         I think you are like 12 years old. the reason that those “games” are #1,2,3 are because you and your little 12 year old friends don’t know what a good game is. Here is what call of dooty is all about, run run turn a corner get knifed instant spawn run run turn a corner hold trigger until someone dies then get camped till the game is over. Seems legit right?           COD is by far the best and biggest shooter game of all time. you might like other more but that does not take away from the facts. that call of duty is number 1 fan choice game. not only fans but places like MLG have yet to take up games like BF3 because it lacks in MP. Gears of war 3 and many other games MLG does but not BF3. everyone in the pro MLG is a adult so your 12 year old comment does not really hold weight. like many gamers i own many games including gow3 bf3 socom4 ect.  whle bf3 is fun it can not compaire with call of duty online mp. if they thought there product was so much better they would release it the same time or AFTER cod. they release it before cod for a reason. same reason xbox 360 was made and sold 1 year before both ps3 and wii. because it the xbox 360 is way weaker then ps3.

        3. MW3 sucks.  It’s only “top dog” to douchebags like you who like an EASY NOOOOOOB game where you and your little 12 year-old spoiled-douchbag school buddys can lobby up, find a game, and camp everyones spawn points for killstreaks.  So To answer your earlier question, NO I don’t want to take part in the “fun” that the CoD series has to offer.  CoD4 was amazingly fun..in 2007…then the online community for that game suddenly filled up boosters and cheaters, and they’ve ruined then online gameplay for the rest of us ever since.  Add to the fact that there are NO NEW FEATURES, OR GAMEPLAY DESIGNS, OR GRAPHICS UPDATES, AND THE ENGINE IS 10 YEARS OLD… you have a game that blows giant chucks all over the place.  Also, CoD isn’t given any post-release support by Infinity Ward or Treyarch except for nickel-and-dime DLC.. They have not fixed half of the glitches or bugs, and people are running around quick-scoping people with aimbot hacks, and piling on killstreaks with wall-hacks.  They cant fix those things, but they can happily sling overpriced and recycled DLC huh?

        Sorry, but for gamers who want to play a BALANCED and truly COMPETITIVE online shooter…CoD isn’t for them.

          Call of duty is the 2nd biggest supported competive game ever. halo number 1. BF3 is not even on the list and most places like MLG do not even host bf3 events.

          bf3 is by far the most hacked and modded game out right now. hands down. there is no such thing as xbox 360 or ps3 wallhacks oesp aim bots and alike for mw3. only pc has that stuff and yes that was done on day 1 just like bf3. bf3 can be hacked on ps3 and xbox 360. more so they can even kick and remove gamers THEY hackers. they have released 3 patches to address cheating and still are working on more because soo much hacking cheating modding it going on in BF3. so far cod mw3 has spent more then 400,000 on the patches alone. thats 400k of free updates and patches for gamers. bf3 has spent 150,000.

          there really is no real glitches on mw3 right now if you think there is name 5 of them with out using bullshit lies like aim bots wallhacks.

          talks cheap your welcome to hate cod but to say its not a great game is just lies and bullshit. your missing out on a great game because EA great marketers got to you.

    this issue is a microsoft created problem that is happening on more then just modern warfare 3. mw3 is just one of the largest if not the largest games with content you must download which is the issue. if you update and see the message about recovering old data from other xbox turn off xbox skip that part because that part is the problem.
